Planned Investment Manager

Job Description

We are working with a registered social landlord, who are recruiting a Planned Investment Manager to lead the delivery of a range of projects within capital programmes, from inception through to completion.\n\nThe postholder will support the effective monitoring and reporting of spend, progress and risks across the delivery of the capital programme, escalating issues as required to the executive management team.\n\nYou will be overseeing the delivery of the Surveying Team, managing one-off and specialist contracts and oversee the delivery of large adaptation work, legal disrepair, large one-off projects, decent homes, retrofit and decarbonisation activities.\n\nYou will be the lead Officer in Contract Management for Planned Works from design, procurement, delivery, and implementation and be responsible for CDM compliance for the team.\n\nThe post holder will be responsible for the work of more junior colleagues providing support on specific projects and the work of appointed project managers and external consultants. This will also include Regulatory and professional bodies; contractors and consultants; tenants/leaseholders; and voluntary and community groups and members of the public.\n\nRole Purpose\n\nOperational lead for the organisation's delivery of the annual programme of planned investment, component replacements, damp & mould remedial works, Compliance, and other associated major works.\nOperational lead on managing and fostering long term strategic relationships with key partners.\nEnsure all areas of operational responsibility are shaped by key values.\nProvide an excellent customer service for all the association's residents. \n\nKey Accountabilities\n\nContribute to the delivery of the corporate and assets strategy to ensure organisational service direction and strategic objective targets are met.\nDevelop and sustain long term strategic relationships with our key partners in delivering a programme of planned investment and major repairs to create a seamless service with shared value.\nLead on embedding and sustaining key values across all national contracts so that values are aligned, and all parties have the opportunity to create social and economic value.\nLead on the building and management of sustainable and meaningful partnerships so that our contractors are resilient, and profitable whilst delivering good quality services in the way our customers expect.\nAssist in the procurement and mobilisation of new contractors and ongoing contract management.\nEnsure that all services are delivered in accordance with contract terms, KPIs and budgeted spend.\nEnsure compliance with all relevant policies and procedures to ensure there are no statutory, regulatory or contractual breaches.\nResponsible for the delivery of national planned investment and major works programmes, to circa XXXk properties.\nManage budgets for planned investment and major works.

\n\nKnowledge / Skills / Experience required\n\nProven experience of developing long term strategic partnerships and embedding key values with stakeholders.\nProven experience of project managing multi-disciplined teams across a city-wide geographical area.\nProven experience of developing and implementing customer and stakeholder engagement strategies.\nHighly developed communication skills with experience of presenting to a range of audiences.\nProven experience of driving costs down whilst improving economic and social value.\nProven experience of managing large capital project budgets specifically within Asset Management, Property Investment and Public Procurement.\nHighly skilled in assessing information and devising and implementing appropriate solutions.\nKnowledge of building components and the diagnosis of building defects.\nKnowledge of building law, regulation, building contracts, contract law and health and safety legislation and best practise.\nEducated to HND level or equivalent, professional qualification in construction, housing, management or property surveying\nHold a relevant management qualification, such as ILM Level 4 in Leadership and Management (desirable)\nA full UK driving license with the ability to drive as and when required by the business \n\nIf you would like more information or to apply for this vacancy, please submit your CV, or contact Harvey Baker on (phone number removed)\n\nTristoneNash is working as an employment agency on behalf of a client
